The University

Founded in 1899 in the Vladivostok city of Russia, Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) is one of the oldest and leading government medical universities in Russia. 

Far Eastern Federal University offers world-class medical programs and is home to more than 3,500 international students. The new campus of the University was inaugurated on September 1, 2013, in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin. FEFU campus is known for its excellence and well-developed infrastructure, comparable to the best in Europe and the United States.

FEFU’s library is one of the oldest in the Russian Federation and holds a collection of over 2 million books and rare publications. For easy student access to library resources, the university also maintains e-databases with online access facilities. To access the library online, students can use any computer working on the FEFU network.

For the better learning experience of the students, FEFU has developed its own Learning Management System (LMS), and all classrooms are equipped with cameras, projectors, and conference facilities. These facilities enable students to attend online lectures delivered on the internet by expert professors of other countries. Also, it immensely helps students develop a global perspective in the field of medicine. 

To involve students in the research work in the medical field, the University has a dedicated Laboratory Building which houses the largest medical research and development laboratories of Far Eastern Federal University and offers access to world-class medical equipment and modern means of medical learning.

For clinical training of the students and to take care of the health of the locals, FEFU Medical Center was established, which meets the standards of international clinical rotations. The Medical Center is equipped with modern equipment and provides access to state-of-the-art clinical facilities. 

To foster international relations and to create global opportunities for its students, the University cooperates with more than 240 institutions, including the United Nations and UNESCO. To help its students build worldwide connections and learn from the world’s leading experts, FEFU also organizes various international summits, seminars, and conferences that students can attend and get the opportunity to learn, network, and connect with new people in the industry. 

Far Eastern Federal University is known for its quality education and has managed to secure top rankings in the list of reputed medical universities. In 2019, FEFU was again included in the prestigious QS World University Rankings at number 18 in Russia and the bracket 531-540 in the world. Besides, the University has also secured positions in Times Higher Education (THE) Ranking and Round University Ranking (RUR). 

Far Eastern Federal University is also part of the Russian Academic Excellence Project 5-100, an initiative of the Russian Government to strengthen the position of Russian Universities on the world stage.

Far Eastern Federal University is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) and also approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The University offers a 6-Year Program for MBBS in Russia for local as well as international medical aspirants. Students in India, who have qualified NEET, can apply for direct admission to the MBBS Program of Far Eastern Federal University.

Far Eastern Federal University offers a 6-Year MBBS Program in the Russian language. For international students, classes for initial years may be organized in English medium.

Rus Education is also an authorized associate of Far Eastern Federal University.
