The University

Founded in 1920, Kuban State Medical University is a government medical university located in Krasnodar city of Russia.

Kuban State Medical University is well-recognized for its quality medical education and is one of the top universities for MBBS in Russia. As per a survey conducted by the Higher School of Economics, National Research University, Kuban State Medical University ranked 9th among medical universities in Russia and is one of the ten largest universities in the Russian Federation.University’s quality management system has also been audited by the Russian Register Certification Association, ensuring international standards.  

To deliver medical education, facilitate research, and provide hands-on training, the University operates with a huge infrastructure, including 900 classrooms, 12 halls, and various medical and research laboratories. Library of Kuban State Medical University, which stores more than 3,68,000 books, provides all the study and reference material students can ever need and accommodate up to 5,000 students.

For better learning experience, the University adapts an apt student-teacher ratio and uses a mix of traditional and modern methods of teaching, including multimedia equipment like projectors. Presently, more than 5,500 students are studying at Kuban State Medical University and it has a staff of more than 600 professors including more than 100 doctors. To facilitate students' participation in medical research and help them master pragmatic skills required in healthcare, the University has established various research and skill development centers on the campus. 

Students get clinical training in clinics operated by the University and affiliated hospitals. The practical skills gathered during training are tested in the University’s Center for Practical Skills. The University also collaborates with foreign universities and teachers to facilitate student exchange programs to share knowledge, research, and strengthen its educational process. 

Besides medical education, the University takes care of other interests of its students through its dedicated Volunteer Center that organizes various kinds of volunteer movements, on-campus as well as off-campus, for all-round development of the students, help them pursue their passions, mingle with other students and local people, and take care of the society and the environment. 

To help students with legal and social assistance, cultural and public work, avail housing and sports facilities, and seek support, the University has an active Student Union with about 4,000 members, 97% of whom are students. 

Kuban State Medical University is duly approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and offers a 6-Year MBBS Program, for students from Russia as well as other countries. Kuban State Medical University is also certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and approved by the Medical Council of Canada, making its MBBS degree recognized not only in Russia, but in India, Canada, and United States as well. 

Over the years, students from over 100 countries have graduated in medicine from Kuban State Medical University. Students from India who have qualified NEET can apply for direct admission to the MBBS Program of Kuban State Medical University.

Student Life

Life at Kuban State Medical University is healthy, vibrant, and full of learning. Besides education, the University and the Krasnodar city offer so much to experience, including new culture, sports competitions, exciting site visits, and festive celebrations.

To accommodate its students on the campus, the University operates 4 dormitories with a capacity of about 2,000 beds. All hostel rooms are well-furnished and equipped with necessary amenities like the heating system, cleaning equipment, fire alarm, etc. Each hostel room is shared by two or three students and all students have access to shared kitchens, rooms for eating, laundry, and other hostel services. 

For the holistic development of the students and to make them involve in the society, the University organizes various kinds of community programs, including medical outreach programs and first aid camps. University’s students get an opportunity to volunteer in these programs, work for the upliftment and healthcare of the community and learn valuable skills in the process. 

To promote a healthy lifestyle for the students and keep their energy alive, sports festivals and other recreational and cultural activities are organized on the campus. All students participate in these extracurricular activities which gives a sense of belonging and friendliness and fills the students with new zeal. 

For outdoor recreations, students can explore the beautiful city of Krasnodar, which offers plenty of things to experience and enjoy including its historical architectures, amusement parks, museums, and green spaces. For travel, the city has good transportation services, including public buses, taxis, and trains. Occasionally, students can go out for dining and taste the different cuisines or go shopping in street shops or sophisticated malls of Krasnodar.
