The University

Siberian State Medical University (SSMU) is one of the top three Russian medical universities. While the history of the University dates back to 1878, the University was officially opened on June 22, 1888.  

SSMU is situated in the Tomsk city of Russia, which is about a five-hour flight away from the city of Moscow, and about a seven-hour flight away from the city of Saint Petersburg.

The University claims to be the largest scientific, educational, and clinical center in Russia ever since its inception and was also included amongst the list of top 30 higher educational institutions in Russia (2017).

Over the years, SSMU has become one of the best educational, scientific, and medical complexes in Russia for the training and certification of healthcare professionals in different medical fields.
